Nate Adams Takes Silver at FMX World Championships

Nate Adams entered the ASA World Championships of FMX with tons of confidence after winning the Red Bull X-Fighters title just a few weeks ago. The ASA event was held at the Fariplex in Pomona, CA in front of over 10,000 excited fans that came to see a battle between Adams and Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg.

Adams, the ASA four-time World Champion, started out strong as he put down solid runs against Beau Bamburg and Takayuki Higashino sending him to the finals.

Meanwhile, two-time champ Jeremy Stenberg was injured in his practice run forcing him to drop out of the competition.  This sent Adams into a final head-to-head competition against Mike Mason.

Mason hit the course first in the finals and turned in a solid run.  Nate would have the final run and still had a chance to take the win if he could continue his momentum from his qualifying runs.  Unfortunately, Nate experienced bike problems forcing him to ride out his run effectively handing over the victory to Mason.

Adams headed to the podium in second place. "When I can mess up and still get second, it's all good.”

The ASA World Championships of FMX will air as an hour-long special on CBS Sports, on Sunday, December 6th at 5:00 p.m. ET.
