London’s historic Battersea Power Station played host to the fifth stop of the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour Saturday night in front of 30,000 fans. The riders and crowd alike braved the elements as rain poured down over the course constructed in the center of the former coal-fired power station.
ONE Industries Nate Adams entered the event as a favorite and commented on the conditions. “We couldn’t go right to the limit in the evening – it was too dangerous,” explained Adams. As it turned out, the wet weather would force the event to be called early placing riders by their qualifying scores. Adams finished in second place while fellow ONE athlete Mike Mason would come in a respectable fourth.
The new overall standings move Nate closer to the lead, only five points behind current leader Andre Villa. The final stop of the Red Bull X-Fighters World Tour will be held on October 2nd in the Stadio Flaminio, Rome.
