Ryan Dungey continued his successful rookie season in the 450 class this weekend by bringing home the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship. With two rounds still remaining in the series, Dungey secured enough points to earn the title after sweeping both motos at the Moto-X 338 track in Southwick, MA.
Ryan is the first rookie in the sport’s history to win both the AMA Supercross and Motocross titles in the same season. Furthermore, Dungey has now tied Ricky Carmichael for most wins by a rookie.
Dungey will finish out the final two races of the outdoor season before setting his sights on leading Team U.S.A. in their efforts to defend the Motocross Of Nations title this September.
